.	.	A Letter to Ralph Vader The following letter was sent to Ralph Nader's organization, that is organizing the anti-Microsoft conference. No response was received. Sir, I am writing to express my profound disapproval of your organization's disgraceful actions against Microsoft. Microsoft has every right to create any software products it wants and to offer them for sale at any terms it wants. Its customers have every right to buy them if they choose. If you do not like their products you are free to not buy them, and you are free to tell Microsoft why you do not like them. But you do not have the right to run to the government to ask it to force Microsoft to change its behavior. You have no right to violate their freedom of contract, their freedom of association, or their right to their property. Rights are rights, either everyone has them equally or no one has them at all. Either rights are inalienable or they are not. Either you are for rights - in which case you have to, in logic, defend Microsoft's rights, or you are against rights. Since I support the concept of rights I want to make this clear: you might claim to be an advocate for the consumer but you are not speaking for me. Sincerely, Greg Shoom P.S.
